Reiki and Relaxing

In business there are so many stressors that can affect your work and your personal life and I feel sometimes it is nice to have some kind of relaxing escape. I have a guest blog sharing some information for you on Reiki as a relaxing treatment. Everyone finds their own way to relax and I am really enjoying sharing these different options for you. Please contact Dani with any questions that you may have. Enjoy the blog

About me

I’m Danielle, and I’m a Level 2 qualified Reiki practitioner. I will blend my own clairvoyant intuition with widely accepted Reiki principles and techniques to deliver a treatment that is fully tailored to your specific needs.

What is Reiki? And how could it help you?

Reiki – pronounced ‘ray-kee’ – is a Japanese word that translates to ‘life energy’. When delivered by an attuned practitioner, Reiki can be used to release emotional stress, address energetic blockages and promote a deep sense of relaxation.

Reiki is a safe, gentle and non-intrusive healing technique with many benefits for the body and mind. Amongst many other things, Reiki can be used to:

  • Promote harmony and balance
  • Create a deep sense of relaxation
  • Encourage the release of stress and tension
  • Clear the mind and improve your focus
  • Dissolve energy blocks and heal old emotional wounds
  • Enhance the body’s natural healing ability
  • Support the immune system
  • Improve sleep quality
  • Help to relieve pain

It can particularly help those who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia, and those who are in recovery from surgery or addiction.

Reiki can be delivered as a standalone treatment – but regular sessions can lead to a happier, healthier and more resourceful way of living. Over time, Reiki therapy can also encourage you to make better personal choices; it’s a fantastic supporting therapy for those who want to make positive changes to their lifestyle, embark on a new exercise programme, reduce unhealthy cravings and generally make more time for self-care.

Reiki is best performed while your practitioner is in the same room, as this setup will encourage you to relax fully. However, it is also possible to send distant healing. Distant Reiki is just as powerful and effective, as long as you make sure you’re in a state to receive help at the time of your appointment.

What happens during a Reiki session

I will sit down with you to find out why you have booked in for the Reiki session and discuss any emotional, psychological or physical issues that you feel you would like to address during our time together.

You’ll sit comfortably in a chair or lay facing up on a treatment bed, fully clothed, and relax while the treatment is being delivered. Gentle relaxation music will be played in the background. I’ll place my hands lightly on the areas of your body that need focused healing energy, and I’ll also work with various parts of your aura.

You might feel hot, cold or experience tingling sensations during the treatment. Sometimes you might feel slight pressure in areas that are especially blocked. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, let me know and I’ll either adjust the treatment or take a breather.

My sessions last for around 50 minutes from start to finish. I love chatting to my clients after their treatment to discuss anything they felt or saw during healing. Everybody experiences Reiki slightly differently and I’m always fascinated by what happens during and after each session!

My advice is not a substitute for professional medical help. I will always recommend that you see a healthcare professional if you have concerns that I believe could warrant medical attention.

Please note…

Though this incredible form of life energy can be used to promote better physical and psychological wellbeing, Reiki should never be considered a substitute for traditional medical diagnosis and treatment. Always consult your GP or other healthcare professional if you are suffering from, or suspect you might have, a physical or psychological ailment.

All my clients will be asked to sign a disclaimer form prior to their first Reiki treatment.

If you would like to receive Reiki healing and you are under the age of 18, I will need written consent from your parent or guardian.

Please let me know if you are pregnant (or are planning for a baby), if you have a pacemaker, or if you suffer with a chronic condition or ailment such as diabetes.

I normally work from Just Pampered in Great Baddow, and the price for each session is usually £42.50. However, given the situation at the moment, I am offering distant Reiki healing for £20 per 20 minute session to help those who are struggling during lockdown.
